We were recently approached by a solicitor who thought we could maybe help his client, who had been told that his life expectancy was around two years. Upon meeting with him we were humbled by both his composure and determination to live the remainder of his life to the full.

He went on to explain how he was going to plan his remaining time, put his affairs in order and more importantly to go on a few trips of a lifetime. 

We spoke of many potential trips he had planned; watching a live Grand Prix, an FA Cup final for him and a group of friends and also a few special trips to visit his family who lived far and wide.

He approached his mortgage lender for an increase in his personal borrowing but they were unable to accommodate his wishes.
